The TEP, on behalf of the SURE consortium, invites industry representatives, policymakers, and research partners to a workshop on “Dekarbonisierung im Industriesektor: Potenziale, Hemmnisse und Handlungsoptionen” on 2 December, morning session.
Building on a case study of the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, the interim report highlights decarbonisation potentials, economic feasibility, and barriers of approaches such as high-temperature heat pumps, informed by interviews with energy managers.
The workshop will share these findings, gather practical feedback, foster exchange between industry, research, and government/policy actors, and jointly derive recommendations for policy measures supporting industrial decarbonisation. Participants include energy and sustainability managers, industry associations, authorities, external stakeholders (technology providers, energy suppliers), and the SURE research team, with a program featuring short presentations, interactive breakout sessions, and moderated discussions to translate insights into actionable strategies.
